Open the new version of the book on Adobe Digital Editions and check if the highlights and annotations are there.Adobe Digital Editions is a free tool that allows you to read, search, highlight, take notes, and bookmark your digital content for most of our titles (note, a few of our titles have scanned content that may not have full capabilities). With Adobe Digital Editions you can transfer copy-protected eBooks from your PC to other computers or devices and you can organize your eBooks into a custom library. Replace the title of the new version to just anything (I didn't dare to delete it, you possibly could), and replace the title of the old version with the title of the new version (in my case, "Risikogesellschaft" becomes "Risikogesellschaft-1").
